Raudz Regional Table
When Relais Gourmande veterans, Chef Rod Butters and business partner Audrey Surrao, launched RauDZ Regional Table in Kelowna, it was clear that the city was ready for such a culinary experience. They had come from the coast of Vancouver Island and the extraordinary Wickaninnish Inn where between them, they set the standard of fine dining and local harvesting that still flourishes.
Over the ensuing years Rod has truly helped to define British Columbia cuisine as one of the most inspired and creative chefs we have in Canada.
Celebrating a locally-focused, seasonal menu with a 100% BC wine list. BC Restaurant Hall of Fame inductee Chef Butters is committed to working in partnership with regional farmers, ranchers and artisans. His food philosophy is simple; support local, buy local, eat and drink local. Consequently, he and his team are considered leaders in the use of organic, sustainable and naturally raised ingredients and concentrate on pure, simple flavours with a fun presentation.
The Okanagan is blessed to have a large number of independent growers, vintners and crafts people who excel at what they do. Some of the finest wines in North America come from these vineyards. Many of the suppliers have been with the restaurant since it first opened its doors in 2009. Their philosophy and passion for food dovetails with that of RauDZ: grow or produce local fare of the highest quality.
The culinary team is led by Chef Rod Butters and his long awaited cookbook, The Okanagan Table – the art of everyday home cooking is on book shelves across Canada and available in the restaurant.
Chef James Hanna has pulled together a tremendous Food Day Canada menu for this year! They are also running tasty specials at micro bar & bites and Sunny’s a Modern Diner.
