Ultimate Kelowna E-Bike Day

Ultimate Kelowna E-Bike Day

Welcome to the ultimate Kelowna E-bike day! The Okanagan Valley continues to grow in popularity for tourists. The summer weather and beautiful lake attract people for many reasons; golfing, watersports, beaches, wineries, restaurants, and many other activities – even just relaxing! People might not know, but the Okanagan is well-known for biking. Now it’s more relaxing than ever when you jump on an E-bike and see Kelowna from two powered wheels!

From North Okanagan to South Okanagan, there are no shortage of places to ride a bike. Kelowna is the most popular of all the cities and is perfect for cyclists – full of bike paths along the Abbott St. and the Okanagan Rail Trail. Hop on an E-bike, and you’ll realize the ultimate Kelowna E-Bike Day is just getting started!

Take on the adventure and start your ultimate Kelowna E-bike day in the heart of downtown, either at the famous Sails on Bernard Ave. or the Dolphins water feature at Waterfront Park. Head on out and ride your E-bike to one of the unique brunch restaurants – may we suggest Sunny’s Diner or Bohemian Cafe! After brunch, cruise along the waterside, passing the Kelowna Yacht Club, which leads you onto the promenade behind the Delta Grand hotel and into Waterfront Park. While in the park, you can choose to ride your E-bike along the wooden boardwalk, reminiscent of a California pier, or the paths that intertwine with the small grassy knolls.

Bringing you out at Tugboat Bay Beach, stop for a bit, dip your toes (or entire body) in the water, and take in all its beauty. With so much to see, you might not want to get too comfortable in the sun. Continue your Kelowna E-bike journey by riding through Carney Pond – a bird sanctuary with over 100 different species. After taking in the sites of Carney Pond, you’ll pop out on Sunset Dr., where you can cruise through the community of houses along the water, bringing you to Manhattan Dr.

Next stop on the ultimate Kelowna E-bike day, the Brewery District! Hungry or thirsty, stop in at one of the fantastic breweries and grab a bite and cold one. With many great options, such as Red Bird Brewing, Vice & Virtue Brewing Co., Jackknife Brewing, Kettle River Brewing Co., and Rustic Reel Brewing Co., you will get a taste for the incredible beer scene. Not in the mood for beer? By E-bike, you’re just a quick ride to Sandhill Winery or BC Tree Fruits Cider.

After having a stop in Brewery District, you can continue on your E-bike experience, heading to the famous Rail Trail. The Okanagan Rail Trail is 52km long, running from Kelowna to Kalamalka Lake in Coldstream, BC. The complete trail hits over 40 places of interest, either right on the path or within 500 meters of it.

Riding the entire trail in one day would be a massive endeavor, even on an E-bike, so it’s best to do it in stages. There’s no doubt that there is lots to see when you take on an urban bike cruise. If you’re interested in taking in more of a historical or nature ride, rent a Kelowna E-bike for a second day.

Riding on the retro-looking Rayvolt E-bikes through Kelowna will fill your day with endless fun and show you parts of the city you may not have seen. Ride as far as you want on the Rail Trail and turn around when you want to head back downtown to check out some other sites.

Ready to get back to your ultimate Kelowna E-bike day? Take the same path you came on- being on a high-powered E-bike makes it easy. As you arrive back in the city’s core, ride through Kelowna City Park. Travel the path along the water, which takes you under the bridge and onto the stunning Abbott St. corridor, where you will see some of the city’s most beautiful homes.

Time to wrap it up and head back to finish off your ultimate Kelowna E-bike day. The fun doesn’t have to end there though. Drop off your bike and walk Bernard Ave., grab dinner at one of the fantastic restaurants, and don’t forget dessert, maybe ice cream at Parlour Ice Cream – where it’s all made in-house!
