Dozens of beers are available on tap and brunch is served on the weekends. When in doubt, the rooftop patio at Craft Beer Market is sure to please. What is it about patios that make us feel like we’re on vacation? Next up on our list of the 12 best patios in Kelowna is 19 Okanagan Grill, set on Two Eagles Golf Course in West Kelowna. Score yourself a seat on this patio and vacation mode will be on in full effect.
Picture lush greens, happy golfers and shining sun, all set upon a backdrop of the glistening Okanagan Lake and the majestic, desert-like mountains just beyond. Yet another favourite spanning across the country, Earls Kitchen + Bar is no stranger to the culinary scene. Beloved for its epic bellinis, famous chicken and ribs, and that utterly addictive warm potato salad, Earls is a true home away from home, no matter which city you find yourself in.
Their downtown Kelowna location just so happens to steal the show with a rooftop patio overlooking Okanagan Lake. A prime location right on the water’s edge, there’s not a thing impeding your views of the lake and mountains.

This all-weather patio happens to be fantastic all year round — cozy and warm in the winter and a great spot for soaking up the sun all summer long.
The vibe is laidback and casual, making it a fun place to eat. Expect all the classic pub fare at reasonable prices, supplemented by a terrific happy hour. A visit to Kelly O’ Bryan’s means good food, ultra friendly service, and great views, making it a worthy contender of the top Kelowna patios
King Taps Kelowna
The newest and coolest kids on the block, King Taps is next up on our list of the 12 best patios in Kelowna. We cannot imagine a better location than theirs, located on Water Street and boasting not one, but two incredible patios.
Whether you find yourself on their main floor patio or up above on their rooftop patio, you’ll have sensational views overlooking the marina, lake and mountainside. On extra hot days, misters and umbrellas keep guests cool and comfortable. Great music, energetic staff, and a fantastic menu are a few of the things you can rely on at King Taps.
During prime time, a reservation is highly recommended (you’ll feel like a VIP pulling up to their “reservations only” line out front). Our suggestion: hit the patio on a hot summer’s day, order a slushy, and watch the world go by! Once your tummy begins to rumble, pair with anyone of their incredible appies or mouth watering main dishes.
Oak + Cru Social Kitchen And Wine Bar
For a slightly more upscale dining experience, Oak + Cru at the Delta Grand Hotel in downtown Kelowna is a wonderful option. Set right next to a beautiful lagoon, the atmosphere is tranquil, relaxing and sophisticated. As a bonus, because the restaurant services guests of the hotel, breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served daily.

For a special occasion, meeting with friends, business lunch or a top notch happy hour, Oak + Cru and their beautiful outdoor space offers a serene experience away from the all hustle and bustle of some other downtown spots. While you may be located in the heart of the downtown core, you’ll never know it as you sip a cocktail and look out over Okanagan Lake.
Red Bird Brewing
One of our all time favourites, Red Bird Brewing is next up on our list of the 12 best patios in Kelowna. Not because of the views it affords, but because of the amazing, relaxed atmosphere. Industrial style garage doors give way from the indoor brewery space to the open air, where family-style tables run along outdoor turf.
Chances are you’ll find yourself striking up a convo with your neighbour as your dogs get to know one another (that’s right, furry friends are welcome here too)! It’s the sort of laidback spot that makes you feel like you’re amongst friends in your own backyard. A pint, a pizza, and the warm Okanagan sun makes for a near perfect afternoon.
For live music lovers, Red Bird Brewing is also a tough spot to beat. During the summer months, you’ll find live entertainment, endless beer and good times galore at this iconic Kelowna spot.
Shore Line Brewing Co.
Sticking with the brewery theme, next we raise a glass to Shore Line Brewing Co, who earns a spot on our list of the 12 best patios in Kelowna. Located right on Lakeshore Drive directly across from Boyce-Gyro Beach Park, this is the perfect place to grab a pint on a hot summer’s day.
Turquoise umbrellas provide shade for thirsty guests, and a stellar lineup of craft beers do the rest. Beyond beer, wine and cocktails are available here too, alongside a full dining menu. A great patio to visit before or after a sun-drenched day at the beach, the patio at Shore Line Brewing Co. has you covered!
Shore Line Brewing Co’s location also makes it the perfect patio within walking distance of several accommodations providers and points of interest. Of all the patios on our list, this is perhaps the most ideal location for an authentic Okanagan experience without ever having to get into your vehicle!
Lakeside Dining @ Hotel El Dorado
Moving away from downtown, the Lakeside Dining Room at the iconic Hotel El Dorado is featured next on our list of the 12 best patios in Kelowna…and for good reason! Dining truly doesn’t get anymore waterfront than here.
The restaurant itself is set right against Okanagan Lake, and as you step outside of the restaurant onto their stunning boardwalk, you’ll be blown away by the set up. Tables are arranged right at the water’s edge, giving diners an al fresco experience quite unlike any other. As the water gently lapses down below and as you look out across the lake, you’ll feel as though you’ve found paradise.
There is no more magical a place to be than right on this boardwalk for sunset, so do yourself a favour and book a dinner reservation accordingly…you won’t regret it! Oh and if you’re a whiskey lover, the famed “Whiskey Room” at the Hotel El Dorado will hold up to the most legendary of cocktail lounges found anywhere in the world.
