But, what about the combination of both – winery restaurants, particularly in the south Okanagan? We’re here to list off what we consider the top picks and “must visit” winery dining options in the south Okanagan region.

Penticton & Naramata

Let’s start in the northern part of the south Okanagan, Penticton, and Naramata area. With over a dozen wineries within a 20-minute drive of each other, you are sure to have your fill on wine tastings. How about stopping for a bite to eat or staying in the evening for dinner? Time Wines and Orolo Restaurant, located in the heart of downtown Penticton, BC, is housed in an old movie theatre. Serving brunch, lunch, and dinner, including small plates and main courses, it’s no wonder it made our top list. 

Just up the road in Naramata, BC – one of the most popular wine regions, you’ll find Da Silva Winery and The Kitchen restaurant. Enjoy a unique fine dining experience overlooking the vineyards. Inspired by Mexican and Portuguese cuisine, it’s the perfect place for an incredible tapas experience.

Okanagan Falls, Oliver & Osoyoos

Moving south towards Okanagan Falls, Oliver, and Osoyoos, you’ll find the highest density of wineries in Canada, having well over 40 unique options. With multiple wineries comes several dining options. Wild Goose Vineyard’s Smoke & Oak Bistro is an ideal place for lunch. Bringing South American and Southern USA barbeque to Canada. It’s not something you can get anywhere else! With the use of a smoker imported directly from Tennessee, you’re sure to have the feel of authentic southern BBQ, including lemon-dill cornbread and house made pickles.

Wild Goose Vineyards

Next on the list of Best South Okanagan Winery Restaurants, and for a fantastic dining experience, Sonora Room at Burrowing Owl Estate Winery.  It is open all season and is a great place to have lunch or dinner where the culinary team focuses on working with as many local products as possible. Not to mention the restaurant overlooks 140 acres of vineyards, heightening the Sonara Room experience along with satisfying your palate.

Inspired by Mediterranean cuisine and created from locally sourced products is Miradoro at Tinhorn Creek. Situated in the Wine Capital of Canada, Oliver, BC, and open from March through December, it’s a dining experience to remember. Enjoy a meal and a glass of wine while taking in the panoramic views of the valley below. 

Onto our final selection and down to the most southern part of the Okanagan Valley sitting right on the Canada/USA border, Osoyoos, BC. One of the warmest climates in BC and part of a semi-arid desert, this wine region is truly unique. The Patio Restaurant at Nk’Mip Cellars (North America’s first owned and operated First Nations winery) is nestled in the vineyard with sweeping views of Osoyoos. Using Farm-To-Table practices, The Patio Restaurant features contemporary North American cuisine and is open Monday – Sunday for lunch and dinner Friday – Sunday.
